Loot Boxes
Loot boxes are a new concept introduced on Mellow which gives creators a fun new way to interact with their communities.
Loot boxes contain unique NFTs representing items of varying rarity which can be used in numerous ways on Mellow.
Boxes are typically unlocked when you unlock 'tiers', more information coming soon on this.
All of the loot boxes can contain:
Badges
Avatar Frames
Stickers (used in chat)
Mellow Points
Animated Avatars and Banners
Gated chat passes
All of the items in loot boxes are represented as NFTs which can be traded on the open market or you keep keep them where they will show up under your 'Inventory' for ultimate bragging rights.
How are loot boxes unlocked?
Loot boxes will be unlocked in several ways but the most common way is to unlock 'tiers' of your favourite influencers.
As an example of how it will work in the future: If you hold 1,000 $MELLOW you can unlock the 'Mellow Holders Loot Box' which will contain some cool NFTs of varying uniqueness.
The future of Loot Boxes
We will be working with several influencers to launch unique loot boxes for their holders. Each loot box will be unlocked after a certain tier (i.e. you hold x amount of their bits) - more information coming soon, keep an eye on socials.
